New decks and replacements. Expansions, too.
Choose pressure-treated, cedar, composite, or PVC, built for Maine's freeze-thaw cycle and winter snow load.
Typical range: $10,000 to $100,000.
Garage Builders
Detached garages and garage additions. Workshop space is also covered.
Choose one to three bays, with a single story or living space above.
One Maine detail worth knowing: gravel runs to the door on a detached garage. No concrete apron.
Typical range: $30,000 to $200,000.
General Contractors
The umbrella category covers work that crosses trades or needs someone running the whole job. That includes additions, whole-home renovations, custom builds, or projects where sequencing matters more than any single trade.
Typical range: $25,000 to $1,000,000+.
House Plans & Design
Permit-ready drawings for a build you haven't started. They can be conceptual or detailed.
Architect-sealed plans are also available.
This is the one service you pay me for directly. Flat pricing from $1,250, two free revisions, plans in about a week, and your plans get approved or you don't pay for them.
Remodeling Contractors
Kitchens and bathrooms. Basements and whole-home renovations, too.
We fix the parts of your house that bother you instead of covering them up.
Typical range: $10,000 to $300,000.
Siding Contractors
Full replacement or partial re-siding. Repairs are covered as well.
Choose vinyl, fiber cement, cedar, or engineered wood, specified for the exposure your house actually gets.
Typical range: $10,000 to $100,000.
Window & Door Contractors
Window or door replacement, including entry doors and patio sliders. New openings are covered, too.
Most projects start because of drafts, rot, or heating bills rather than looks.
Typical range: $5,000 to $80,000.
Same process, whichever one you need
STEP 1: I qualify your project. Scope, timeline, budget, what you actually want at the end. If the budget doesn't match the scope, you hear that on the first call.
STEP 2: I match you with three vetted contractors. Specific companies that do your kind of work, in your town, with capacity when you need it.
STEP 3: You compare three real quotes. Apples to apples. Hire whoever you want, or nobody.
Free to you. Contractors pay a commission when they close work.

That's normal. And it's a real question, not a throwaway line.
The most common version: do I need a general contractor or a specialist? For a one-trade project, hire that trade directly. Use a siding contractor for siding.
A deck builder for a deck. If the work crosses trades, needs a permit, or must happen in a particular order, hire a GC to run it.
The second most common: do I need plans first? If you're building new or adding on, yes. The same goes for moving structure.
Getting drawings before quotes means three contractors price the same job instead of making three different guesses.
